On a much happier note...I found a wonderful biscotti recipe you should try. It's a great thing to make when you don't have any ingredients in the house. Use about 1 cup of nuts/choc bits or whatever other flavoring ingredients trip your trigger. I got this off some website and it's so good. Note there is no butter - so they're lower in fat.

1 cup (200 g) sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
and 2 cups (250 g) flour

the original recipe called for 3/4 cup slivered almonts and the zest of one orange

So, you mix it all up then you form it into one or two loaves. The loaves should be no wider than the palm of your hand and about 1 inch thick. If you have a large sheet pan, one loaf should fit. So roughly shape it, then run your palm along the top so you get the curved shape. I usually then just put some hot water on my hand and run it over the loaf one final time. Then sprinkle it with sugar or cinnamon and cardamom and sugar or whatever you like. Bake at 325 for about 35 minutes, test the middle to see that it's done, then remove and let cool for 20 minutes. Turn the oven down to 250. Then slice thinly and lay the slices on a baking sheet on their side. Put them back in the oven till they're as crisp and golden as you like (about 30 minutes). Remove and let cool, dip in chocolate if you like.
