my winter vacation

Ok, we had a friday FROM HELL before we left. EVERYTHING went wrong, still we made it to Portland and to Ricettta's for pizza. It was VERY good, despite our terrible day. Thanks to Amy for letting us spend the night ins So. Berwick. We got up early saturday and drove and drove and drove straight through to Blacksburg. The children were perfect in the car.

Sunday we got up and had an excellent breakfast with our friends, the Bush's. Then we went for a nice long walk around the Virginia Tech Campus. We saw the new football and basketball stadiums and the solar house that the architecture school built. The kids thought the solar house was cool.
