I STILL KNOW IT JENN!!!

Friday we went to breakfast with Mila, Todd, and her mother and step father. We went to a really cool diner. AFter that, Jen gave JK and I the day off. She took the kids and we did more sightseeing. We went to Mt. Vernon to visit Mr. Washington's place. We toured the house and grounds and really enjoyed it. We were glad the kids weren't with us because it was a long cold wait to get into the house. What a beautiful view of the Potomac though. After that we went into old town Alexandria and walked around. Then we had coffee and pastry at the famous "Bread and Chocolate". It truly lived up to it's reputation.

We then met Todd and Dawn for wine and cheese and a nice visit at their place. We stayed for quite a while, chatted and played guitar. Todd has graciously lent me a mandolin to play with.

We went back to Jen's and got mostly packed up to leave.

Saturday morning we took off for Maine. We took an alternate route that you would never take if time was your main concern. We only got slightly lost, but I can't even remember where. We made it to Portsmouth last night and got home around 1:00 today.
