party synopsis

the surprise birthday party was held in honor of r and e at the home of e and s on friday.

a menu of light appetizers was served: cheese and crackers with grapes, bruchetta, hot artichoke dip, stuffed mushrooms, chips and salsa and dip, and a baked potato bar. also a flourless chocolate torte was made for the birthday girls.

after some wine and some cosmos, one of the guests of honor who was also the hostess decided to begin the karaoke early by having a sing along in her living room. white stripes, police, and other lovely songs were enjoyed.

at the lounge down under, e sang a rocking edition of some green day song i always forget the title to, and 'sweet child o' mine'. the BASTARD lonnie cut her off when there was half the song left! i hate him. then he sang 3 songs! so did jim! i find it highly amusing that jim sings while he meanders through the bar, picking up empty glasses.

emily helped me sing 'oops i did it again' and then i sang 'cheeseburger in paradise'. that was fun. then a bunch of wild circumstances found emily rachael and i back at chez callahan. we sang duran duran until everyone else came home. a good time was had by all. after seeing cc dance, i'll never be the same.
