you know, tina fey, head writer of snl, is supposed to be so great and so witty and so wonderful but this movie just sucked. i mean, it was full of every stereotype, cliche, and stupid prank that is in every teen movie. i was hoping it would be clever, but i should have known it wouldn't be, as i think tina fey's biggest problem is that she is too proud of her own jokes anyway.

so now that i've gotten that out of my system. we also watched the first two episodes of curb your enthusiasm last night and that was MUCH more funny than mean girls. we liked it a lot. we'll be watching more between tonight and tomorrow.

because tomorrow tyler has off! apparently in private schools they have these things called 'headmaster's holiday' where the headmaster just decides everyone can have the day off tomorrow. so we're gonna watch movies i'd magine.

tonight i'm making fabulous dinner. chicken florentine with salad. i'm trying to decide between rice and pasta with olive oil and garlic. the pasta would be more authentic, but i am in a basmatti rice phase. though i'm serving rice friday with curry chicken. so i guess i'm going for the garlic pasta.

i got this box set called "Duran Duran: the singles 81-85". and it's cool because each single is in a sleeve that looked like the 45 sleeve. but the problem is that each disc only has what the 45 had on it...so there are 13 discs. i'm obviously going to have to consolidate. right now i'm listening to 'planet earth'. you're all jealous.
