i'm soooo exhausted. well, i left tyler's at 11:50...max watched me from the bedroom window as i drove off. my first stop was in charlton plaza on the mass pike for a pee and a snack. they had vitamin water! yay! then, oh i forgot to say that i stopped in traffic in waterbury and hartford. then again in worchester. then again in lowell. then again in lawrence. then again in portsmouth. then again in dover. i was trying to get to dover prompto to get my oil filled up for free but i was 20 minutes late. i arrived at amy's 6 hours after i left tyler's, and it should have only been a 4 hour drive. exhausted, i walked in the house to amy saying 'i need your help RIGHT NOW.' turns out gus's back was covered in blood and he had bled on her NEW comforter.....i suggested emergency room (as we didn't know if he was bitten by something rabid)...so off to the vet hospital we went. we had to wait 2 hours to get gus seen....i gave amy a book and went to get a very nice french manicure. apparently, gus had previously been bitten by something, the scab had abcessed, and had broken open...he's staying overnight for anitbiotic injection and observation. he's gonna have one of those cone collars. here's my suggestion...if you like your cats at all...get pet health insurance! it's only 12 dollars a month and could save you a lot at the emergency vet hospital on a friday night! we got home at 9:30. needless to say, i'm completely exhausted now....and the house is pet free tonight...how odd.
