I STILL KNOW IT JENN!!!

So, in case you were wondering, yes, i am still alive. tyler and i flew out of portland yesterday evening. at first, we were supposed to board at 7pm. at 7:05 they told us the eastern corridor was shut down due to storms and to check back at 8. 5 minutes later they changed their minds and boarded us. we got to dc 30 minutes later than expected. by the way, if you're sitting on the wings and you see a flash of light, it is just the light on the tips of the wings...it is NOT lightning, and i don't want to hear another word about it! when we landed we went to mila and todd's shiny new place for YUMMY brownie sundaes. i don't know what she put in those brownies, some fabulous brand of chocolate, but they are AMAZING.

this morning we woke up to todd making us blueberry pancakes. i ate more than i care to report. we then went to downtown vienna to go to the frame shop. while we were there it POURED. that was cool. then we went over to tyson's corner mall where we went to circuit city. tyler bought beth gibbons (lead singer of portishead) and mila bought franz ferdinand and modest mouse because we left ours in ct. sorry! todd bought some dvd-r's because they bought a dvd recorder a week or so ago. very cool. it's one of those you can record vhs tapes to dvd on. tyler is jealous.

then we went to tyson's corner mall. we walked all around looking for a place to eat. in the meantime i went to lane bryant and found some cute black cargo capris for 30 bucks and some cute black sequined flip flops for 10 bucks. mila bought the shoes and tyler bought the capris. i need to go shopping with them more often...thanks, kids! anyway, when they were rung up, both were half price! so i got to look adorable for 20 bucks!

we finally had lunch at california pizza kitchen. we had baja chicken spring rolls, spinach dip, sweet and spicy sausage pizza, goat cheese and roasted pepper pizza, 5 cheese and tomato pizza, and mila had waldorf salad. luckilly, they had some waldorfs in stock. yum.

we came back and had siesta, then we went to the capitol steps show. it was funny; they have a lot of material to work with. tyler boo-ed when the rush limbaugh impersinator came out; the guy told tyler to go to hell. that was funny. then we went to jaleo for tappas, and i couldn't possibly tell you all we ate there but i'll try.
