the village spoiler: it takes place in the present and a bunch of people who met in group therapy decide to move into a pa wildlife sanctuary to escape the real world. they convinced their offspring that there were monsters surrounding them, but it's them in costume. one guy tells his blind daughter all this because her boyfriend's been stabbed and she wants to go get medicine. she does, it ends.
