...and speaking of cake, I made a GREAT yellow cake yesterday, here's the recipe. This was Gram Shorey's cake.

Sugar Cake
In sifter put:
2 cups flour
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Sift into a large bowl

In separate bowl whisk together
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Add milk mixture to flour mixture add 1/2 cup melted shortening

Mix until combined. Place in greased and floured baking pan and bake at 400 for 20 minutes.

Of course that's not at all how I did it, but you can if you want to.
